Podium

Privacy

Your voice stays in your browser.

The short version: your audio and video never leave your device. Only the transcript and metrics get stored if you choose to save a session.

On your device

Audio and video.

Your microphone and camera feeds are captured in your browser for levels, playback, and feedback.

On our server, if you save

Transcript and metrics.

When you save a session, we store one row with your transcript text, aggregate metrics (filler-word count, words per minute, pause durations, pitch variance), and a reference to the prompt. That row is scoped to your account. Only you and Podium admins can read it.

Text-only, sent for coaching

Coaching feedback.

Podium sends your transcript, chosen focus area(s), and metrics to Anthropic's Claude to generate the response from your coach on your results page. Only the text of the transcript is shared. The response is stored alongside the session so you can revisit it later from your History.

Accounts

Accounts and streaks.

Email and password (or Google OAuth identifier) are managed by Supabase Auth. Your streak count and earned badges live in your profile row. Guest practice works without any of this.

The full list

Third parties.

  • Supabase for authentication, profiles, sessions, and badges.
  • Anthropic for coaching feedback (transcript + metrics, text only).
  • DigitalOcean for hosting the web app and its API routes.

You stay in control

Deleting your data.

Any saved session can be deleted from your History tab. Each row has a Delete button that permanently removes the transcript, metrics, and coaching feedback. A full-account self-serve delete is on the roadmap. In the meantime, reach out and we'll remove your account and all associated sessions on request.
